New Hybrid SaaS Point-of-Sale Bundle Incorporates HP TX1 Solution and pcAmerica Software.

BlueStar, a leading global distributor of ADC, Mobility, Point-of-Sale, RFID, Digital Signage, and Security technology solutions, is pleased to announce the first of its new Hybrid SaaS solutions with HP: a complete tablet Point-of-Sale solution, available for a low monthly payment for the end user.

“BlueStar and HP have joined forces to revolutionize the way we offer Point-of-Sale solutions in the channel,” said BlueStar’s POS Vertical Director Jason R. Firment. “This bundle provides end users with the flexibility to manage transactions and administrative tasks from a single location—and the mobility to go wherever their business takes them.”

BlueStar’s first Hybrid SaaS solution incorporates HP’s new TX1 Solution, which includes a HP Pro Tablet running Windows 8.1, tablet stand with magnetic stripe reader, standard-duty cash drawer, and receipt printer. The stand holds the tablet upright for ease of use, and connects quickly and easily with the 4-port USB hub.

As part of their exclusive In-a-Box offering, BlueStar’s Custom Configuration Department pre-loads the tablet with pcAmerica’s Restaurant Pro Express or Cash Register Express software. These POS programs easily integrate with traditional PC-based point-of-sale systems and are ideal for areas with limited space where mobility is a must. The entire solution is covered by HP’s three-year warranty, including accidental damage coverage.

Resellers will be able to provide the complex HP TX1 tablet POS solutions at a low monthly payment as part of BlueStar’s new Hybrid SaaS. This program allows resellers to obtain upfront payment instead of the traditional SaaS monthly payment model. BlueStar’s Hybrid SaaS also gives the reseller an opportunity to provide a product refresh every three years, ensuring a higher margin on initial hardware sales.

BlueStar’s Hybrid SaaS Solutions are now available in the US, with plans to add other regions in 2015. Visit for more information.
